Background

Families arrive with a folder of paperwork and no idea what any of it means. Sofia starts there.

Sofia handles probate administration and elder law matters, including Medicaid eligibility work and the planning that goes with a move into long-term care.

She spends much of her time on the intake side of a case, sorting what a family actually has against what the court will require. That work decides which track an estate belongs in and how quickly it can move.

She meets with Spanish-speaking clients directly, which matters in a practice where the documents are dense and the deadlines are real.

How Sofia works
